As seen in Utah Valley Bride

For this Spring Wedding Citrus Editorial, I was inspired by the combination of classic and modern. I wanted to take a classic venue and put a modern, artistic spin on it. So many brides feel trapped with traditional ballroom venues or bare bones event spaces! When you add the correct emphasis on intentional detail, the space is just a canvas and the possibilities are endless!

The key here is the connecting elements. For example, on the classic end of the spectrum is the traditional architecture of the venue and the silhouette of her gown. On the modern side of things is the deep orange napkin and lavender china. We found elements that bridged the gap between classic and modern!

Because the focus was on color, I created a look with spring blooms to emphasize the season. What I love about these blooms is that most of them are available at your local Trader Joes or Whole Foods! This look is really accessible to everyone. We love the way the spring garden-inspired details play off the classic and modern styles to create something totally fresh and new. Brides, you can be classic, modern, fun and everything in between!

Need a little sunshine in your life? You know what to do.
