The changing seasons inspired this design. While many brides are often set on a specific season, there is so much beauty to be found in transition. I think especially at this difficult time in our world, we have to find the beauty in change and the beauty in transition. This design is to inspire any couple who had to change their wedding date to another season or even an in between season so they can realize the beauty found in that very change.

The Color Palette

For the color palette, I wanted to use both dusty, muted tones seen in winter as well as brighter tones found in the first of spring. Paring this year’s Pantone color of the year, blue, with winter mauve, caramel, and rust gave the design an intimate, cozy feeling. Gorgeous tableware, blue linens, and lilac taper candles adorned the tables. We used modern china and flatware as well as streamlined glassware from Wild Event Studio to create this organic yet modern look.

The Design

Our lush arrangements featured both winter textures and new spring blooms to highlight the beauty in this transition. We styled the bride in a full classic strapless Amsale gown. We wanted the look to be very bridal and traditional. To emphasize the seasonal transition, we paired a lace body suit under it. This gave the look bit more edge and made it seasonally appropriate. Her soft bridal makeup paired perfectly with her incredible high bun and cathedral length veil. She wore gold hoops and a classic engagement ring.

The groom wore an incredible velvet blue paisley suit. It was fitted to perfection. The velvet drew on winter themes while the paisley gave it a playful spring feel. We created two bouquets for the bride – a small posy bouquet for the ceremony and a fuller bouquet for portraits. This is a trend I would love more brides to get into! Having a smaller bouquet for certain wedding moments is perfect just as having a large, lush bouquet is great for other moments! Why choose?! The cake was adorned with the couples monogram that was also seen in the paper goods. Paired with an organic gold leaf design, the cake was regal yet organic and forward thinking. This paired perfect with the velvet invitations that were pressed with gold. The mountain scape liner created an added detail that was perfect for this Montage Deer Valley Wedding.
