Alex and Jay hosted a French Château Wedding in Champagne with their nearest and dearest friends and family. The small group gathered for a weekend of countryside events which culminated in their wedding celebration. The wedding day featured an intimate ceremony near the old chapel. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and oysters for cocktail hour. For dinner, they chose to serve authentic French cuisine.

Alex wanted the design to feel authentic. We opted for an understated romantic design. We worked with shades of white, pink, and blue to create this look. The floral design stole the show with lush peonies, garden roses and astilbe.

Alex and Jay highly prioritized authenticity when looking for a venue. They chose Château De Mairy. Located in Mairy-sur-Marne amid the country’s famed Champagne wine region, the 17th-century “monument historique” offered 30 acres of lush grounds, a medieval tower, and on-site accommodations.

“We absolutely loved the rustic and antique aesthetic of this location, as well as the proximity to Paris. The way it all worked out felt like serendipity!” – Alex

We started planning this wedding in the depth of the Covid-19 surge in France. I was anxious the entire planning process – constantly checking up on the news and statements from the embassy! Luckily, we were able to proceed without postponing their celebration! France opened their borders just one weeks before the big celebration. It was meant to be!
