Thanksgiving is next week. Who else is feeling inspired by the idea of creating a beautiful harvest table-scape? We pulled together Modern Thanksgiving Table Inspiration as well as a step by step guide on how to create a table perfect for your micro celebration.
Color Palette
First, select a color palette. For our design, we opted for muted neutrals paired with pops of burgundy, mushroom, and mauve. This palette feels both romantic and autumnal. It also plays very well into either a classic or modern design!
The Table Setting
Second, consider the elements you need for a complete table setting:
- Flatware – Which pieces do you need? Salad fork, main course fork, and dessert fork at least! Will you need spoons? Tea spoons? Knives?
- Glassware – What are you planning to serve? Water, wine, cocktails, bubbly, and after party hot drinks will all need their own glassware.
- China – Be sure to have the correct plate sizes for each course or the size of the overall meal! Salad plates, B&B plates, main course plates, and dessert plates are likely needed!
- Linens – we love a beautiful linen paired with napkins. This elevates the entire design!
- Details – what elements are you going to include to make everything extra special? We love adding on charger plates, taper candles, and menu or name cards.
- Consider elevating the design one step further with dried fall foliage foraged from outside! Or, pair beautiful seasonal fruits in bowls. Pomegranates, figs, and pears make great centerpieces!
