This Oheka Castle Wedding design was inspired by French opulence. We incorporated organic summer details like figs and cherries. This balanced the luxe look of the gold foiled invitations, formal dining table, and chic wedding gown. For the table design, we opted for a soft, romantic look. Crystal glassware, vintage china, and garden inspired florals set the tone.
An Oheka Castle Wedding is a stunning option. This historic castle is one of the most beautiful venues in the Northeast. It is the perfect spot for an elevated yet historic wedding. I loved creating this design with a French country aesthetic in mind. New York weddings often focus on the glitz and glam. Instead, the look has a sense of European refinement. Soft neutrals, luxe textures, and intentional details play a large role. My favorite part of the design was her chic outfit change. First, a classic a-line ballgown. Second, a short feathered white dress. Both looks wereook was chic yet on brand fort he design.
Rather than considering local inspirations, I turned to the architecture and fine art of Europe to get inspired. The soft shades of a Monet painting, the glamorous ivy of an Italian villa, and the structure of and English garden all influenced this look.
