Chari and CJ have been engaged for several years. Due to her competitive Olympic training schedule, they have never had time to set a date for a wedding. They decided that this year would be the year! They scheduled time out of her training for an ankle surgery and wedding. The couple invited their nearest and dearest to Utah for a River Bottoms Ranch Wedding.

Chari’s bridesmaids were fitted in champagne gowns from Azazie. CJ’s groomsmen were fitted in classic black tuxes from The Black Tux. Chari looked stunning with makeup from Marisa Rose and stunning bridal jewelry. Her gown was actually created for her by designer Innes de Santo. She was the first bride to ever wear the new style.

The Design

Chari and CJ opted for simple invitations from Minted but really went all out on the guest name cards. The couple wrote a handwritten thank you note to each vendor. Jessica of Lustr Creative wrote their names on each envelope in hand calligraphy. Our wedding design was simple and romantic to keep the focus on the couple and the stunning location. We adorned the exposed wood tables with a textured runner, dozens of taper candles, petite garden rose arrangements, and classic ivory and gold china. The gold flatware and simple glassware added an elegant and elevated feel to the design.

The Ceremony

Our ceremony design was romantic and centered around adding to the setting without taking away from the view. Guests tossed flower petals as Chari and CJ processed and made their way to cocktail hour. There, Top Shelf and Bubbly Bar provided cocktails and cocktails for the group while Magelbys served appetizers.  Cocktail hour was complete with a photo bus, lawn games, drinks, acoustic music, and dancing. The guests made their way inside while Chari and CJ took a moment to take it all in upstairs. The future Olympian and her new husband made their formal entrance down the floral adorned staircase to start the evening. The night included toasts, performances, and dinner. Both the bride and her bridesmaids and the groom and his groomsmen kicked off dancing with special dance performances. To follow, DJ Ricky took it away for the rest of the night.

The couple cut the cake, made by her childhood friend, and exited the party through a sparkler walkway.  Branson Maxwell and Cali Warner Media captured this day perfectly.
